Smoothie Week Day #4: Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie


It's Day 4 of Smoothie Week! Today's recipe features another potentially unexpected ingredient... but don't knock it til you try it! The combination of strawberries + dates + cottage cheese (yes, cottage cheese!) tastes like you are drinking strawberry cheesecake- it's my latest obsession! Of course, you can always replace the cottage cheese with vanilla protein powder-- but it's not the same, trust me! I love cottage cheese as one of my favorite inexpensive protein powder-free ways to get in a ton of protein (about 13-15 grams for a half cup!). Scroll down for the recipe!

Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie: 


  • 1/2 cup (heaping) frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup cauliflower rice
  • 1 date (more if you want it sweeter)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup full-fat cottage cheese (don’t knock it til you try it!)
  • 1-2 cups milk of choice to blend
  • Crushed graham cracker to top!
